๐Ÿงต Memories of Migration

A community co-created art project with multi-award-winning artist & author Sabba Khan
(Creator of The Roles We Play)

Memories of Migration is a powerful series of community art workshops exploring the deeply personal stories that shape our migration journeys. Guided by acclaimed artist and graphic memoirist Sabba Khan, participants will respond to a chosen object—something small, sacred, or symbolic that speaks to their family's history, movement, or identity.

Through oral history, shared reflection, and artistic expression, this project offers space to reframe and retell our stories with agency and imagination. Together, we’ll explore how migration intersects with colonial legacies, belonging, and memory—and how these stories deserve not only to be heard, but honoured through art.

Workshops are open, inclusive, and deeply rooted in community voice, inviting individuals from all backgrounds to participate, co-create, and contribute to a final public zine and exhibition launching in December 2025.
